Who we are

Workshop Tools is developed and published by The Educated Monkey LLC. Privacy questions may be sent to support@educatedmonkeyco.com .

Information the app collects

Workshop Tools does not collect, transmit, or share personal information, device identifiers, calculator entries, preferences, usage data, or diagnostics with The Educated Monkey LLC. It requires no account and includes no advertising or analytics SDK. The app does not request Android's Internet permission.

Information stored on your device

Unit and appearance preferences are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. They remain until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. App backup is disabled.

App updates

At startup, and when you choose Check for Updates, the app asks the installed Google Play Store whether a newer version is available. Google Play handles the availability check, download, and installation. Workshop Tools does not receive your Google account details. The Play Store processes limited device and app-version information under Google's privacy practices to provide this feature.

Contact and feedback

If you choose Contact & Feedback, the app asks your email app to prepare a message to The Educated Monkey LLC. Nothing is sent automatically. The prepared message can include the app version, device manufacturer and model, Android version, and the text you add. You may edit or remove any of this information before sending.

If you send the message, The Educated Monkey LLC receives your email address, message, and any information you chose to include. That information is used only to respond, troubleshoot, and improve the app. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or to meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of a support message by contacting the address below, subject to any legal retention requirement.

Links to Educated Monkey websites open in your web browser. Those websites and your email provider operate outside this app and may have their own privacy practices.

Security

The app keeps preferences in Android's private app storage and disables app backup. Because no method of electronic storage is completely risk-free, users should still protect access to their devices.

Children's privacy

This general-purpose workshop utility is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect children's personal information.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the app's features or data practices change. The effective date will be revised when an update is made. The current policy will remain available at the public URL listed in Google Play and within the current app.
